Chinese Characteristics of Chinese Modernization Viewed From Three-dimensional Structure
Cheng Long(Zhejiang University)
Abstract In the process of world modernization, three different modernization modes have been formed around the three-dimensional structure of "labor-capital-state". British-American mode of modernization is centered around capital, extracting labor and ''hijacking'' the host country. Although it has opened up a new era, it is an era of "human dependence on things". Soviet mode of modernization is centered around the country, fettering labor and excluding capital, Although it blazed a new trail for socialist modernization, it is a bureaucratically monopolistic, inflexible, and lifeless. While Chinese modernization is centered around labor, innovation-driven and full of dynamism, with capital regulated and all sides motivated, has created a new form of human advance with a goal to achieve common prosperity.
